Alterations and reconfiguration of the existing gallery, separation of the existing redundant store rooms and conversion to form a 2 bedroom flat. The proposals were to make most effective financial use of the store rooms which had become increasingly unused over a period of time.
Significant works were involved in the renovation and conversion as part of the flat is below ground level which required extensive detailing/tanking. One of the principal challenges was to bring suitable natural daylight into the flat. Shafting light to the basement has kept the main living/kitchen/dining area bright and open.
